Why TI electrical work is different from a standard commercial job
A tenant improvement isn't just "add some outlets" — it usually means adapting an existing electrical system to a completely different use than it was designed for. A space that housed a retail shop has very different power needs than a restaurant, office, or fitness studio moving in after it.
What we typically assess first
Existing panel capacity — whether the current electrical service can support your business's actual equipment load, or whether it needs upgrading before anything else happens
Circuit layout versus your floor plan — outlets, switches, and lighting need to match how you're actually going to use the space, not where the last tenant happened to put them
Code compliance — commercial spaces have different code requirements than residential, and a previous build-out may not meet current code for your specific use case
Timeline coordination — TI projects usually run on a tight schedule tied to your lease and opening date; electrical work needs to fit into that sequence without becoming the bottleneck
